Dutchtown High School Choral Society Performs at MLK Prayer Breakfast

The Dutchtown High School Choral Society proudly represented Dutchtown High School with professionalism and musical excellence at the MLK Prayer Breakfast held on Friday, January 16, at Zoo Atlanta.

Our students delivered a powerful performance for a distinguished audience that included John Ossoff, Andre Dickens, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Ken Martin. Following the performance, students also had the opportunity to engage with local leadership, including the Mayor of Stockbridge, an alumnus of Dutchtown High School, making the moment especially meaningful for our school community.

In addition to the full ensemble performance, senior Michael Armstrong delivered a moving rendition of the National Anthem, further showcasing the talent, preparation, and dedication of our students.

This high-profile civic event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to perform beyond the classroom, connect with community and national leaders, and experience the real-world impact of their work. Moments like these highlight the importance of arts education in developing confident, engaged, and community-minded young people.

Photos from the event will be shared school-wide, and video footage of the performance is available on the Dutchtown Chorus Instagram page, Instagram @dutchtownchorus.

Congratulations to our talented students on an outstanding performance, and thank you to the administrators, faculty, and supporters who continue to champion opportunities that allow our students to shine.
