Greetings! My name is Amber White and I am the Athletic Director at Dutchtown High School, where we are proud to serve over 1700 students and over 400 student-athletes. I grew up in the Metro-Atlanta area, where I participated in multiple sports. My father made sure that his four girls participated in as many sports as possible, developing a love, passion and healthy competitiveness for sports in all of us. My children and granddaughter have continued with this family tradition.
I attended Oakwood University and Alabama A & M University in Huntsville, AL, but completed my undergraduate degree at Clayton State University. After graduation, I began teaching and coaching in Henry County Schools, while completing my Master’s and Specialist’s Degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Leadership Certification. I came to Dutchtown High School in 2014 and fell in love with the community. It has been my pleasure to serve as the Athletic Director from 2018- present. I have a sincere passion for working in educational athletics. Athletics at the high school level are intended to supplement the education that our student-athletes receive during the traditional school day. I believe it plays a vital role in developing the characters of our young people, therefore, it is my mission to provide our students, at Dutchtown High School, the best opportunity to succeed in the classroom and on the sports’ field/court.
