The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives... one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ (www.fca.org).
To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.
To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.
- Integrity: We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately, and publicly. (Proverbs 11:3)
- Serving: We will model Jesus' example of serving. (John 13:1-17)
- Teamwork: We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships. (Philippians 2:1-4)

National FFA Organization- Future Farmers of America
The Dutchtown High School FFA chapter consists of over 135 students. We conduct monthly meetings which are generally held on the last Thursday of every month. The meetings begin immediately after school and last until 3:30 -5:30 pm. An important component of our chapter is career development events (or CDEs) in which our members compete in different career development activities which include public speaking, floral design, employment skills and others. These events are hosted at the region and state levels and allows for our members to compete against other high schools in the state.
Three different degrees can be earned through FFA while in high school. First, the Greenhand Degree is earned after the first year of Ag classes by meeting certain requirements. Second, is the Chapter degree. Earned after the Greenhand, the Chapter degree has a slightly more challenging set of criteria. After the Chapter, one can earn the State FFA Degree. Based on a member's SAE and participation in the FFA Chapter, the State degree is awarded at the State Convention in April. After the State degree is earned and a member has graduated high school, they can continue on and earn their American Degree which is given at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October. The American Degree is the highest award one can receive in the FFA.
Dues: The Dutchtown High School FFA Chapter is an affiliated chapter. This means that the chapter covers each student's dues. In order for this to happen, our chapter has to raise money in the form of sponsorships and fundraisers. We have been blessed with wonderful sponsors in the past who have helped us achieve this. We also rely on members to help with fundraisers. Our two fundraisers in the fall and a greenhouse plant sale in the spring were successful pre-COVID19 but it is going to be challenging to hold successful sales in this season.
Plan to attend our next meeting to learn more about what the FFA has to offer!

Newspaper
The school newspaper, the Dutchtown Chronicles, is a club open to all students. This club allows students the opportunity to utilize their writing skills and creativity to create our school newspaper. Club members will cover school events, current events, travel, entertainment, and human interest stories.
The newspaper club advisor will select approximately twenty (20) newspaper staff members based on their responses to the newspaper application as well as their adherence to the application deadline. Newspaper staff will be responsible for publishing four (4) issues of the Dutchtown Chronicles during the school year and meet approximately two (2) times per month after school. In addition, newspaper staff members will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and typing their articles. Newspaper staff members will have an opportunity to work on their articles during meeting times. However, work must be completed at home and submitted to the advisors by the specified deadlines. If you enjoy writing, we encourage you to take the time to fill out an application to join this club.
It also doubles as the school's literary magazine as we accept short stories and poems that are submitted. In addition, outside submissions are always welcome!
We also have an online version of our newspaper.
